The work I offer is unique. It is a modality that is designed for a person who is interested in looking
more deeply at themselves and the possibility of reframing their outlook on their sexual concerns.
After years of practice and wanting to offer more to my clients and to myself professionally, I found some overlap in the fields I have dedicated the most time. Sexuality Education and Massage.
Somatic Sexuality Sessions are like combining individual sexual education and support and bodywork into one. My massage work has already integrated an element of "processing" and talking with my clients about intimate details of their life. When I realized that more of my clients needed a safe place to talk about their sexual lives, I thought what better way to get to the bottom of some of the questions we all have, then to feel into the knowledge of the body. I combine conversational consultation, experiential exercises, and non-sexual bodywork. In some situations I offer home work to enhance the intentions of the client.
Clients have come to me for several reasons: Concerns about initiating sex, managing different sexuality styles between a couple, concern of commitment and monogamy, opening up relationships, self -pleasuring difficulty, gender or orientation shifts, and the list goes on. Everyone has something in their sexual lives that needs attention at times, and there are not many places to go to safely discuss and inquire deeply about these parts of ourselves. Mostly what I feel I offer is a place where deep questioning can happen about a rich, and often neglected conversation. My clients have time in every session to receive therapeutic touch while experiencing a non judgmental, open minded practitioner that witnesses and supports their process.
Disclosure: I too am invested in my own personal sexual awareness. I do not have all the answers. I find that many questions lead to more questions and some insights, but not always concrete answers or resolve. My work is very process oriented and not based in "fixing" or "resolving". I think of it is more of an evolution. I consider myself having expertise in handling the sensitive and wonderful topic of sex and being a very attuned and practiced massage therapist with intuitive capacity. I consider myself a facilitator for your experience. I am not a sex therapist, nor am I a sex-worker. It is important for me that my clients know ahead of time that I do not work on the genitals. I realize that massage can be sensual, but it is not my interest or intent to provide arousal. I often work in conjunction with a psychotherapist when the trauma or potential feelings are beyond my scope of practice.
I am a member of AASECT, American Association of Sexuality Educators, Councilors, and Therapists. I use she/her pronouns and am kink and poly friendly.
Also please note: Every potential client needs to schedule a phone consultation before booking online. This helps us both orient to one another and the concerns and ideas we will be exploring together. I only offer Somatic Sexuality Sessions to people who have scheduled a consult or have been referred by another colleague or previous client.
Somatic sexuality sessions are 2 hours at the cost of $180
I suggest, but do not limit that each client makes a minimum of 3 appointments within a 5 month period for best results.
A Sex Check-up is a 30-45min session where we can simply reflect on any concerns or explorations that you might want more resources on.
These cost $60.
